ThailandWe got engaged Christmas 2007 when Jason romantically went down on one knee to propose at Santanders, where we had our first date. The ring was a gorgeous platinum princess cut diamond ring, Beaverbrooks. Our families and friends were supportive and gave us gifts of hand written favourite recipes to help could celebrate married life cooking meals for each other. Jason and I both admired buddhist positive thinking so we agreed on a Buddhist ceremony in Thailand. Kuoni arranged a chauffeured limo to take us from Derby to Heathrow for our flight with Thai Airways. We flew Royal Silk Business Class which gave us fast-track immigration clearance and our own 10.4" screens with a wide range of channels, music, games and information. The in-flight food was top class, white linen napkins, silver cutlery, free champagne and drinks and we arrived in Bangkok relaxed and ready for all the wedding legalities. Our legal wedding organiser met us at our hotel, the Mandarin Oriental. She arranged all appointments at Bangkok Embassy and Registrar as well as transport so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. On the third day, legally married, we celebrated with a dinner cruise viewing beautiful and historic landmarks on the legendary Chao Phraya River....... >> read more in our Summer Issue of White Weddings Magazine.
